Cable duct | Clear mounting track for cable

A clear polycarbonate extrusion cable duct track for use in side-emitting applications such as pool perimeter or step lighting. The track has UV-retardant additives and stabilizers for use in outdoor and indoor projects. IP 40 protection grade when installed with the correct procedure and sealants. Two sized tracks are available for 13mm and 18mm side-emitting fiber cables.

Applications

The lidded tracks afford additional protection for sidelight fiber optics in outdoor or indoor installation, against dust and pollutant ingress. In order to render tracks, dustproof is important to seal the joints between two adjacent tracks with a silicone or other sealant. Tracks can be installed with screws and plugs with the help of the bit-centering groove in the axis of the base. Other installation methods are by means of double-sided, high grab adhesive tape, although this will depend on the quality of the surface, which must be flat, non porous, and scrupulously clean from dust or grease. For frontal viewing the use of a back, flat white reflector will improve the contrast of the light guide.
