Single core 1mm to 3mm | End-emitting insulated fiber cable

Single core end-emitting fiber cables are a single core insulated in a black UV-protected sheath. The fiber core is made of PMMA (PolyMethylMethAcrylate) and transmits cold light from the illuminator with no electricity or heat in the fiber cable.

End-emitting fibers emit light only from their ends and are primarily used for the starry night sky effect and path lighting. Other forms of end-emitting lighting are in landscapes and artworks, such as sculptures benefiting from the flexibility and no electricity in the cable.

Depending on the application, the fiber cable ends can be left as a clean-cut finish or fitted with a fiber optic fitting. End fittings allow designers to produce different light beam angles and light diffusion effects through the fitting's lens without the need of a powered LED fitting.
