It is recommended for an authorised installer to remove the panels due to the small amount of tolerance between panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Q: Which ceilings can the <strong>StarEFX\u2122<\/strong> be installed onto?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Can be installed onto a plaster (drywall) and concrete ceilings however, timber batons need to be fitted to concrete ceilings for the StarEFX\u2122 ceiling to be fixed onto the batons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Q: I have another room above my home theatre room, do I need access from above?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, the installation is done from beneath the ceiling. A general power outlet, however, is required in the ceiling cavity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Q: How is the StarEFX\u2122 system installed?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/light-efx.com\/staging\/product-category\/fibre-optic-lighting\/starefx-starlight-ceilings\/starefx-modular-panels\/\">modular StarEFX panel<\/a> is a Do-It-Yourself installation fixed onto the exisiting plaster (drywall) ceiling with 6 screws. It requires a power outlet for the StarEFX 12v power supply to be plugged into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/light-efx.com\/staging\/product-category\/fibre-optic-lighting\/starefx-starlight-ceilings\/starefx-integrated-ceiling\/\">StarEFX integrated ceiling<\/a> is installed by authorised LightEFX dealers, however, builders and trades can install them with a brief training on the installation process.
